Hi there,

I’m going to try and play my ‘better late then never’ card now. This week for Beer and Wine Club I think we’ve got something a little bit special.

After countless requests, some wailing and a little teeth gnashing I’m happy to say that this weeks beer is none other then Mike’s IPA, maybe even know to some as Mike’s Imperial IPA - at 9% you can understand why. Packed full of flavour and oozing with hoppy goodness this is sure to be one of our guest beer highlights for 2011.

This week from the bottle it’s time for some Mojo Shiraz. The wine boffins here at House were drawn to this drop because of the quirkiness of the label but rest assured, the juice is excellent. In the style of big Aussie reds this one is no disappointment.

Lastly. I can confirm that this years House Oktoberfest will take place on Saturday October 15th, from 2pm - make sure you put it in your diary right now. Last year it was an awesome day and we’re aiming to try and top it in 2011. Tickets will go on sale in early September with House mates getting first dibs and maybe even a discount. Stay tuned.
