It's just around the corner - Beer & Wine club, that is

Hi there,

With New Zealand about to go rugby mad the place certainly seems to be buzzing with activity. While we’re not your stereotypical sports bar we are getting into the spirit of the tournament (that I can’t name for legal reasons).

Tomorrow we continue with Sprig & Fern September and tip out hats to this nations great rugby team with one of their special release brews, Sprig & Fern Black Bruges. While this is a dark(ish) beer it is surprisingly easy drinking, light to medium bodied beer. Winning a Bronze medal at BeerNZ is no walk in the park and that’s exactly what this beer achieved last month in Wellington.

From the bottle this week we’ve got Brancott Estate Reserve Pinot Gris. Spring is springing and grass is rizzing so why not open a bottle of summery goodness. That’s exactly what this is.

Now. Oktoberfest 2011. There’s been a bit of chat so far and I’m proud to announce the details for this years festival. Steins, music, loads of great kiwi craft beer, heaps of food and hopefully sunshine - what more could you ask for. Tickets will go on sale tomorrow, Thursday 8th September, and all Housemate cardholders will get a week to buy before they go on sale to the general public next week. Also, there’s 10% discount with your card. The limit is 400 and they’re going to sell fast.
